In 2006, the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) established its philanthropic arm, the SAMPE Foundation.

 

Instilling an interest and passion for advanced material and process engineering in the next generation of leaders is the singular focus of the Foundation’s mission. Therefore, the Foundation has focused its efforts on K-12 STEM Education.

 

While numerous professional societies support STEM efforts, the SAMPE Foundation’s program is unique in that it represents the only “material and process engineering” society. Therefore, the SAMPE Foundation’s K-12 STEM focus is on material and process engineering with the goal of inspiring K-12 youth around the globe to launch careers in this growing field.
